Lyvius is capable of decent form on his day but hasn't impressed over this longer trip so far. Spirit Of Shankly might be more interesting as he was second in a novice event over track and trip at this meeting last year. Collateral form suggests he might have the beating of Tantamount, who beat a subsequent winner over track and trip in December but is 13lb higher. Taigan is difficult to evaluate but could be well handicapped and makes more appeal than Roberto Pegasus, who didn't beat much at Worcester, and Gold Chain, who has been busy lately. GET HOME NOW has run eight times since May but has been thriving and, though up another 2lb since his second at Exeter, is entitled to be thereabouts again so gets the vote.
