Verdict

The New One won this when an odds-on chance in 2014 but was only fourth in last month's Champion Hurdle behind the brilliant ANNIE POWER. He has more than eight lengths to find with Willie Mullins' mare on that run and, while the longer trip might help, his tendency to jump right continues to be a hindrance. My Tent Or Yours and Nichols Canyon were second and third in the Champion Hurdle but both were beaten fair and square and they meet the winner on the same terms. The trip is an unknown for Nicky Henderson's charge while Nichols Canyon hasn't quite scaled the heights of earlier victories in two runs since the turn of the year. Camping Ground needs the mud and looks to have little chance of reversing Cheltenham form with the principals and this may be too tough for smart handicapper Court Minstrel.
