Goalkeeper Ben Garratt has pledged his future to Crewe by signing a new deal until the summer of 2017.

Railwaymen boss Steve Davis had stated this week that he thought the two parties were close to agreeing a fresh contract for the stopper, who is currently sidelined by a broken leg. And the 20-year-old academy product has now put pen to paper on terms to keep him at Gresty Road for another two seasons. Garratt made his debut in 2013 as part of an XI which was made up entirely of players who came through the ranks at Crewe. He has been the first-choice stopper under Davis for the past 18 months, making 34 appearances this season before sustaining his injury at the end of last month, although it is hoped he can return before the end of the year.
