Celtic midfielder Kris Commons is keen to sign a new contract with the Scottish champions and finish his career with the club.
The 30-year-old is entering the final year of his current deal at Celtic Park and would like to have talks with Hoops boss Ronny Deila and chief executive Peter Lawwell about his future.
Commons has been a big success at Celtic since his arrival from Derby for around £300,000 in January 2011.
He helped the team to both domestic cup finals that season, and won the first of his two Scottish Cup winner's medals in May 2011.
The manager and Peter are aware of my contract situation and hopefully we’ll sit down and talk about it.
Commons has won three Scottish titles as well and has been a key figure for Celtic in their Champions League campaigns.
Last season he was top scorer in Scotland, netting 32 goals, and won both the PFA Scotland and Scottish Football Writers' Player of the Year awards.
"The manager and Peter are aware of my contract situation and hopefully we'll sit down and talk about it," Commons said.
"When you get four or five months into the last year of your contract, you can talk to other clubs.
"But that's something I don’t want to do. I want my future sorted here.
"I have no desire to go back to England. I’m playing the peak years of my career at one of the world's biggest clubs.
"With Champions League football, there's no better place to be than Celtic. I'd like to finish my career here. There's nothing down the road that would entertain me.
"There aren't many clubs down south where I could go and play in the Champions League. Celtic gives me that.
"Hopefully I'll do enough in the next couple of games to ensure we get to where we need to be."
