Kilmarnock have signed striker Nathan Eccleston, who was released by Partick Thistle on transfer deadline day.

Eccleston, 24, started his career with Liverpool but only made a couple of appearances off the bench for the Reds in amongst loan spells with Huddersfield, Charlton and Rochdale.

He joined Blackpool in the summer of 2012 but could not force his way into a regular role and had further loan stints with Tranmere, Carlisle and Coventry before joining Thistle at the start of the season.

But he was only able to secure a bench role with Kilmarnock's Scottish Premiership rivals and he was allowed to leave earlier this month after scoring twice in his 11 appearances.
