Swansea boss Garry Monk has confirmed his interest in Kyle Naughton, but insists the Tottenham full-back is just one of several possible summer transfer targets.

The Liberty Stadium side are in the market for defensive reinforcements, particularly in the wake of Ben Davies’ departure to White Hart Lane.

Monk insists that no offer has been tabled for Naughton or any other players as he looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new Premier League season and admitted he only has a limited budget to work with.

"We're looking at a number of players. We're going to get linked with players left, right and centre and I think we've been linked with just about everyone this summer," Monk told the South Wales Evening Post.

"We are looking at him (Naughton), but we're looking at a number of players. We're talking about a player who's with another club, so I don't want to disrespect anyone.

"That's just me looking. We've made no offer for any other player. We have to find the right target and do the right deal to bring them into the club.

"As a squad, I'm happy with the way we're trying to progress. There's still more work to do. There are a couple of more things I want to do.

"We can't go and buy more players for every position. We have to prioritise, which I have been doing since I've been here.

"You have a vision in your head, but we are dictated to by the money that players cost.”
