Verdict

William Butler: "It was a small field which suited him, but our horses are in form at the moment and we're lucky. You've got to go when you are in form. He's a firm ground horse. He's doing it well now but he's got to keep improving because he's got to step up to run against horses rated in the 90s and the hundreds, which will be a complete new level for him. He's run off his new mark today in a lesser class, so he's now got to do it against the big boys and we'll see how he progresses next time. I'd be surprised if he took up his entry at Goodwood next week [in the Betfred Mobile Lotto Stakes Handicap on Friday] but you never know, we'll see how he comes out of this. He's a gorgeous horse. Mr Brown [owner John Brown] is away and he's a real enthusiast, so it's a pity he can't be here."
