Verdict

Eric Alston: "He's an improving sprinter and I think he's going to be very good next year, I don't think he's filled out as yet. I'll be very disappointed if he's not running in all the big sprints next year, but I've been disappointed before. The ground just had enough water in it today, it was too firm for him at Haydock. I don't know where we'll go next, the plan was Haydock then here. He's never jumped the line before in the race, but at Haydock he got rid of Neil on the way down, I don't know what it is about the line."
