Verdict

Richard Kingscote: "He jumped and travelled real good, they went a good clip and he was able to keep a bit of momentum and he picked up. He stuck his neck out well. He's reasonably unexposed and I said to Jonny keep him at that trip."

Jonny Portman: "We liked him as a two-year-old. The entry in the Derby was slight optimism as a yearling on the owners part and he ran in the Derby trial against my will. We persuaded the owners to take him out of the Derby which was good and this is a great consolation for them. I knew he was very well and in the form of his life."
