Verdict

War Artist made the early running and still led with two furlongs to go. However, a whole host of challengers loomed, with US Ranger coming through to hit the front. Marchand d'Or, dropped out to be last at halfway, was then delivered with a strong challenge against the stands' rail and got up in a flying run to pip US Ranger on the line with War Artist keeping on really well in a close up third.
