In depth

Verdict

Trautmann came from an unpromising position to win at Ayr but this is a better race. Several of these are previous course winners with October Storm making most appeal of that group as he’s been thereabouts off this sort of mark in his three runs to date this term. Mercer's Troop has been going well over hurdles but has switched stables since last in action. TRUE DESTINY (NAP) looks a progressive stayer and was only beaten a short-head at Pontefract earlier this month when he probably wasn’t enjoying the rain-softened ground. Back on a quicker surface, he should take all the beating today.
