Colonel Mak will find the ground plenty fast enough having landed the odds in a conditions race at Hamilton last week. Grissom may also prefer some cut as it was heavy ground when he had Klynch and Fast Shot behind last time also at Hamilton. The latter had beaten Misplaced Fortune and Powerful Presence at Newcastle before that while Sacrosanctus finished a length ahead of the re-opposing Swiss Cross when scoring at Epsom earlier this month. Frankie Dettori's presence on the latter takes the eye while Kaldoun Kingdom and Farlow are not without claims. Only one three-year-old has won this in eight renewals but in such an open sprint an each-way interest in CHUNKY DIAMOND may reap reward. Peter Chapple-Hyam's colt went close over today's trip in a Listed race at Doncaster in October and after a couple of outings over the minimum trip this year, he should be spot on here.
