    Verdict

Philanthropy is selected to land this handicap after a good second over course and distance last time. That second was in a lady riders contest where the race was run to suit but he is versatile with regard to tactics and should no pace exist, Neil Brown has a horse who can bowl along. A line can be put safely through Birkside's last effort as the race was run in a bog and he will be more at home on this quicker surface while Peruvian Prince is 3lb lower, down to a mark of 81. Mister Fizzbomb is running consistently without getting his head in front and as a result is edging up the weights at a slow pace. Philanthropy is the pick to come home in front.
