Verdict

AKHMATOVA is improving at a rate of knots and can see off Viewing, Madhaaq and Tipperary Boutique. Bottom-weight looks attractive for the selection and Gerard Butler's improving filly is only 6lb higher than when storming home at Lingfield last time out. She only started her career last month but she's massively progressive and can win again. Viewing is unexposed and although she made hard work of winning at Lingfield she could improve on that and her Marie De Guise form makes her look fairly handicapped, Law Of The Range can improve further now stepped up in distance, whilst Starla Dancer is a course and distance winner and is now back down to an attractive handicap mark. Madhaaq was emphatic when destroying Ice Diva at Newbury and may go on from there although a 10lb higher mark may be a bit tough. Tipperary Boutique is very interesting as she was pitched in at the deep end this year at Newbury in a race her classy stablemate High Heeled had won previously. Connections obviously think quite a lot of her and a big run is expected after her break. Antigua Sunrise is a course winner and just 4lb higher than when successful at Pontefract in April, Destinys Dream is consistent but ultimately a tad high in the weights, whilst the two mares at the top Magic Echo and Bollin Dolly are in good form and likely to give good accounts. A tricky race to call then but preference is for Akhmatova.
