There are a trio of Irish-trained runners in this. Tronador was five lengths behind Robert Johnson over 2m4f at Goodwood but is 4lb better off. Zanndabad, who won four times in France, has had just the four runs so far for Tony Martin but GRAPPA NONINO (NAP) is preferred. Dermot Weld’s four-year-old won over 2m1f at Killarney in May and beat a big field over 1m6f at the Curragh 10 days ago. Despite a penalty, he looks a step ahead of the handicapper. Northumberland Plate third Aztec Empire is still unexposed on Turf so may be best of the rest.
