        In depth

        Verdict

        Not for the first time, Riflescope failed to last home over 6f last time but won the Listed Dragon Stakes over 5f at Sandown before that with Soapy Aitken two lengths back in third. But Mark Johnston's charge is penalised for that success and ROULEAU is preferred. The latter ran well enough for third behind the unbeaten Kachy in the Molecomb at Goodwood on his first start over the minimum trip and should find this easier. Maiden winner Ornate may well come in for support with improvement expected while Kurland has faced a couple of stiff tasks and makes more appeal than novice stakes winner Adham in this. The remainder look to have even more to find on today's terms.
