Empirestateofmind got stuck on the rail in the Thirsk Hunt Cup and finished behind On A Session and Lion Tower, though was well ahead of both Delgrey Boy and Mykonos St John. Eilean Dubh was a beaten favourite behind Global Spirit at Pontefract last month but beat Mostawaa, Harswell Duke and A Boy Named Ivy at Hamilton two weeks ago and his stable continues to fire in the winners. Give It Some Teddy ended last season in good form but that was on soft going. LA TRINIDAD (NAP) was behind Lion Tower here 10 days ago but wasn’t given a hard time and Roger Fell’s five-year-old never seems to run a bad race on the Knavesmire. He could offer some relief for his yard, which has been in the doldrums.
