In depth

Formwatch

Honesty Fair Would not want the ground too firm but is in excellent heart at present and is better over this 6f trip. Good solid chance.

Cretan Gift Popular old horse who rarely runs a poor race but is on a long losing streak and despite putting up his best effort for a while last time at Yarmouth has place claims at best.

Needwood Blade Very speedy youngster who is dropping down in trip from recent outings; course winner who could go well.

Ambitious Very game mare who is another who should appreciate the easier ground, although she did run well on firm at Doncaster at the start of July; should go well but does not look an obvious winner.

Undeterred Could be said that he was unlucky in the Stewards Cup last time and races off only a 3lb higher mark here, drawn near the middle and all looks set for a big run. Solid chance.

Danielle's Lad Likes to make the running and is suited by some give in the ground, but make find himself swamped in the closing stages.

Ho Leng (IRE) Needs fast ground and has not really been firing on all cylinders of late, others look to have sounder claims.

Seven No Trumps A little in and out this season but would not be far away if returning to something like his effort in the Wokingham.

Amaranth (IRE) Suspicion that he may be better over further these days and is also looking a little vulnerable of his current mark, best watched.

Scarlett Ribbon Fair effort at Ascot last time after a long lay-off but needs to prove she has come out of that race well enough to be considered here.

Juwwi Thrives on his racing goes well here and loves these big field Handicaps however, he needs to come as late as possible and will need everything to go just right for him to be involved at the finish.

Armagnac May find them going a little too fast for him in the early stages and for one who often meets trouble in running he looks to have a difficult task on these terms.

Rudik (USA) Yet to really fulfil his potential and was a big disappointment in the Great St Wilfred at Ripon on Saturday others best watched.

Tayif Course and distance winner and although one of David Nicholls lesser lights, he should not be underestimated.

Pays d'Amour (IRE) Likes to run from the front but may be better over an extra furlong and may not have the race run to suit him here.

Labrett Tough and versatile performer but this track notoriously favours front runners and he may be left with a lot to do in the closing stages at this trip in this company.

Technician (IRE) Received no respite from the Handicapper following a series of good efforts earlier in the season and looks to have a lot to do here.

Night Flight Goes well here and this race may have been on his agenda for sometime, so any market confidence should be closely monitored.

Kashra (IRE) On a long losing run and others look to have stronger claims.

Starbeck (IRE) Needs soft ground to be seen at her best but is a course and distance winner and may be capable of surprising a few.

Bon Ami (IRE) Another who is on a long losing run but it may be significant that he comes here instead of Ripon's feature race on Saturday however, on balance he looks to have a lot to prove today.

Ragamuffin Doesn't have the most convincing profile when tried at this trip and is not hard to overlook..

Glenrock Drop back in trip not sure to suit has a bad draw to overcome and is therefore another who does not look to have an obvious chance.
