In depth

Verdict

Top weight Sarangani looks the one to beat, having proved well suited to the step up in trip last time and must have an excellent chance off only a 2lb higher mark. The runner-up in that event Lady Laureate, gave that form a boost, when just touched off at the weekend, pulling six lengths clear of the third. Twilight Haze, who flopped on soft ground last time, would have a chance on his second to Royal Cavalier on fast ground, while Bid For Fame was found out off this mark last time behind Waverley Road, the runner-up in that event Perestroika, is taken to come out best of that trio. Establishment comes here in good form, but he has it all to do with Bid For Fame, on their running at Ascot last year. Xellance is gradually coming down the handicap, but may need to come down a bit more.
