Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for this maiden but plenty of the top yards have runners. Hawk Flyer is from the bang in form Sir Michael Stoute yard and this well bred colt by Silver Hawk certainly takes the eye on breeding but the market may prove the best guide as to what is expected. Colophony is another well bred sort but the Henry Cecil stable is so badly out of form he is readily opposed. Celtic Sapphier has shown some fair form in similar contests but his best efforts have comer with cut in the ground. Fernery showed improved form to be third behind Leisurely Way last time but she will need to improve again to score. High Cane is another well bred sort but he is bred to come into his own over a much longer trip.
