In depth

Verdict

It will not be surprising to see more forceful tactics employed with Etmaam today and, as such, the Mark Johnston-trained colt is selected in preference to Sound Of Fleet and Nunki, who are expected to provided the most resistance out of the rest. The likes of Spring Goddess and Motive also have sound claims on what they have achieved to date and should not be too far off the speed when the field turn for home. However, this may be where Richard Hills' mount begins to assert his presence on the field and, assuming that there is sufficient pace to make his stamina count, Etmaam can gain some compensation for his narrow miss at Doncaster last month.
