Verdict

Captain Ginger's Warwick win offers the best form in the race and although that victory came on an easier surface he is taken by TEAMtalk to land this interesting contest. Stoutly-bred, this son of Mutarram has improved all season and should be hard to beat. Alter Ego looks a typical runner from the Sir Mark Prescott stable. She did not have to be up to much to win her maiden and improved on that effort next time out. She will need to improve again to land this and she looks as though further would suit. Avoidance did nothing wrong when winning at Epsom but the handicapper has taken no chance here. Linby Lad benefited from an enterprising ride at Musselburgh last time and will not have things so easy today. Lady Pan Jammer is a tough sort who holds an entry in a valuable sales race in Ireland next week - she also has form on firm ground so she could have each-way possibilities.
