Verdict

Maid Of Meft, Forrest Flyer and Mafeteng were all winning lower grade handicaps on their latest starts. Upped in class today, they may struggle getting to grips with GABRIAL'S STAR. Bryan Smart's colt went very close in this grade at Ripon on his first attempt at 2m and the three-year-old has more scope than most of these. Lexington Bay is not out of this having been placed in better company at Nottingham on his penultimate start but both Spruzzo and Up Ten Down Two are others facing much stiffer tasks than of late.
