This claiming race can go to Realism ahead of El Coto and Inside Story. The selection takes a huge drop in class here having performed below-par in his most recent outings. The last time that Richard Fahey's charge was dropped into this company he ran out a convincing winner at Chester and he can win again today. Corriolanus is another who takes big drop in class and, having raced well last time out in a valuable Newmarket handicap, he must be high on anyone's shortlist on ground that suits. El Coto comes here in good nick having just lasted home at Hamilton, and his confidence should be high after that boost. Inside Story is another horse who comes here in fine fettle with two wins on his last three outings however the feeling is that this claiming race will prove a tougher nut to crack. At a price Speagle could run well, and whilst Typhoon Ginger has a good record at York, we are happy to return to Realism to win.
