The Nawab has a progressive profile and John Dunlop's colt, who promises to improve further for today's longer trip, and is preferred to Hiddensee and Ski Jump. The last mentioned seemed to stay this trip well enough over course and distance in June and has claims on that evidence but has been creeping up in the weights despite not winning of late. Dr Sharp is coming back to a fair mark and would have claims if able to reproduce his best form, while Garden Society is interesting tackling beyond two miles for the first time but would probably want a faster surface. The consistent Dune Raider and the well-handicapped Vicious Prince are others to consider although a bigger threat is likely to come from Hiddensee. Mark Johnston's colt has improved for being stepped up in distance this term and may do so again now that he tackles this extreme trip. The Nawab clearly appreciates a test of stamina though and ensured that when cosily landing a two-mile handicap at Goodwood last time so he is taken to follow up on his first start over this trip.
