Many of these are inconsistent but ROULSTON SCAR is an exception. Kevin Ryan's gelding has recorded two victories and two third places in competitive large-field sprints in four starts this term and, on that evidence, should run his race again. Kinks has to give weight away all round but the best of his form brings him into strong contention so he goes on the shortlist and The Night Watch isn't badly treated under a talented claimer. Pendleton has also been running well enough to be worth an each-way shout.
