Verdict

John Gosden has won two of the last three renewals of this race and can tighten his stranglehold with RADIO WAVE, who looks the pick of his trio of entries. Arte Viva has the benefit of experience and the added glamour of the 'Fallon Factor' to boost her claims, while Hymnsheet and Miss Antonia represent top yards and have to merit a second look in the betting. Miss Antonia will qualify for a handicap mark after this and, as a half-sister to winners over further, she is likely to do better when stepped up in distance as a three-year-old. Hymnsheet is a full sister to the very useful Chorist, who excelled between a mile and 10 furlongs. Again a patient approach may be the order of the day with Sir Michael Stoute's newcomer. Arte Viva was heavily gambled on her debut at Kempton, where she produced and encouraging effort. She was, however, well below expectations at Wolverhampton when last seen out; so something of a leap of faith is required for a punt today. The booking of Kieren Fallon for the ride is hardly a negative, though. Nevertheless, Radio Wave gets the nod. Gosden won this with a debutante in 2007 and followed up with last year's winner. Both those individuals knew their job and, as the Newmarket handler seems to have found the key to success in this race, it's the Khalid Abdulla-owned Radio Wave that looks the pick of his bunch on show here.
