Mambo Spirit hasn't won since last June but has taken a big drop in the ratings subsequently and showed more at Warwick last time. Merito makes his handicap debut and has been showing good speed in maidens while Full Shilling is just 4lb higher for his recent Wolverhampton victory. Comrade Bond and Dictionary were placed in a poor maiden handicap here in August and have been well beaten since but Belinsky is capable of a big run back over his best trip. LITTLE VILLAGE doesn't exactly look an obvious choice but the Irish raider has shown good pace over further in a light career and the fact that his trainer has booked leading apprentice Martin Harley suggests a good run is expected.
