Verdict

This listed fillies' race is the feature of the afternoon, and in what is a very open contest, we'll come down on the side of CAPE AMBER in preference to Samira Gold and Les Fazzani. Cape Amber is the highest rated runner. She tried to make all in the Yorkshire Oaks at Newmarket, but was then outclassed and outgunned. Maybe a step up too high and this is her level. Samira Gold and Les Fazzani are joint top weights; the former won this race last year, but hasn't been able to land a blow in Group races since. She should be too good though for many of these, and perhaps all of them. The latter will be hoping there's a little cut in the ground, just as there was when she won a similar contest in Italy 10 months ago. This is also her best trip. A number here have realistic claims to the top prize of the day, but we'll side with Cape Amber.
