In depth

Verdict

Jeremy Noseda has his string in good heart at present so his newcomer Sleepy Blue Ocean, a son of Oasis Dream, has to be respected but DREAM WIN made a pleasing debut on his only start as a juvenile when a close up fifth in a Doncaster maiden in October and Sir Michael Stoute's colt gets the vote over Negotiation. John Gosden's gelding is fit from a recent start when a close up third in a Kempton maiden last month and, with the yard's runners continuing in good form, he has to be strongly considered. Ed Dunlop introduces a son of Cadeaux Genereux in Red Cadeaux but he may prefer a softer surface and of more interest may be Palacefield. Peter Chapple-Hyam's colt last no caste in defeat on his only start as a two-year-old when third of 15 in maiden over course and distance on soft ground in October. He should do better on the faster surface today. James Toller's Dukes Art belied market odds when a fair third in a Lingfield maiden in December and he is another that has to be considered but it is Dream Win that is taken to land the honours here.
