Verdict

COME WEST is a speculative selection at the principal expense of Cannon Fire and Tot Of The Knar. The selection does have to overcome a lamentable run in a handicap hurdle but he had demonstrated improved form to take a Towcester novice and may possibly have been aimed at the larger obstacles in time. Cannon Fire has had plenty of chances. Happiest under a soft lead, his jumping is far from the most fluent. Tot Of The Knar is in receipt of the mares allowance. Were she able to reproduce anything like the best of her hurdling form, she would be virtually impossible to oppose. Super Ross has kept counsel in plating events over hurdles with plenty of success. Newton Abbot specialist, Vintage Fabric, does tend to run his better races at this time of the year so he probably rates as best of the rest. Plenty of plausible winners and Come West makes most appeal at the likely odds.
