Verdict

Beaten when falling three out here on his debut, Never is given another chance dropped back to two miles and should prove too classy for River Pirate and Nev Brown. The selection was easily the best of these over hurdles and had jumped perfectly adequately until coming down on first start over fences. The drop to today' strip should suit the son of Vettori who is taken to give the team of Jonjo O'Neill and Tony McCoy another winner. Warwick winner River Pirate rates the main danger but may struggle to concede weight to the selection. Highly tried last term, Nev Brown should pick up races but not today against Never, who looks too good for his rivals.
