In depth

Verdict

There is probably a wide range of abilities present in the first division of this bumper. Sungai Long, second at Catterick on his penultimate start, and April's Fontwell second Hahnenkam look the pick of those with experience, though both disappointed last time. KNIGHT CRUSADER's dam has produced jumps winners with three of her four previous offspring and, being a son of Sir Percy, he'll be at home on the rain-softened ground. David Pipe's four-year-old looks a decent bet to make a winning start.
