In depth

Verdict

The three main contenders in this novice chase are Peeyoutoo, Bushido and Snoopy Loopy with the vote going to the last named. Peter Bowen has his team in great form at present and Snoopy Loopy who has his first outing for his new connections can continue that fine run. A winner of a novice hurdle at Punchestown in April he has his first run over fences and if transforming the same level of form will have no trouble winning first time out. Peeyoutoo was a winner between the flags in the Spring and has been placed all three starts this season in similar races but always manages to find one or two better than him and this might be the case again. Bushido put his fall at Southwell behind him to run into third position at Market Rasen last time out but again will have to settle for place prize money here so for the winner we return to Snoopy Loopy.
