In depth

Verdict

Michael Muck is the pick of some promising sorts including Ace Of Clubs, Iroquois Warrior, Alamkhan and Golden Child. Michael Muck was bought at the National Hunt Sale at Cheltenham in April after landing an Irish point, and although not the biggest animal, he has by all accounts schooled well. It will not be long before he goes hurdling, but in the meantime can pay to follow on his British debut. Nigel Twiston-Davies saddles both Golden Child and Ace Of Clubs, with preference for the latter who has a slight fitness edge after finishing third over the course-and-distance on his debut in May. Richard Philips knows how to get one ready, so any support in the ring for Iroquois Warrior would be significant. He is well-bred for the game, being a brother to chaser Lord Henry, and the dam is related to Morgan's Harbour. Alamkhan is Flat-bred, and this Aga Khan cast-off is yet another to bear in mind for the future. All in all, this is a decent bumper to round things off, with the vote going to Michael Muck.
