In depth

Verdict

IDEALDES VILLERETS has shown useful form in both bumpers and novice hurdle company and sets the form standard. His placed runs behind the likes of Pikar and Strong Leader read especially well and Brian Hughes is likely to be prominent from an early stage on this drop back to two miles. Buxted Too has only had the one start over timber back in 2021 but rattled up five wins during the all-weather winter campaign and it will be interesting to see how he handles this return to hurdling. He's certainly one to keep an eye on. Vision Of Hope, Baileys Derbyday and Activist all have a win or wins on the Flat on their respective profiles and a market check is probably the best way to go with them all, likewise with Tchoupinminzac who returns from an absence for Dr Newland.
