In depth

Verdict

Gibson Park beat a subsequent winner at Fontwell in April but was let down by his jumping when attempting to follow up under a penalty at Stratford. He’ll be short enough in the market here and CELESTIAL PATH could be a real threat dropping back in trip. He’s struggled over hurdles so far but was a Listed winner on the Flat and this quicker surface should prove ideal – he’s fitted with a tongue-tie today. Another Flat winner, Ocean Eleven, will need to improve on a first run over timber at Kempton and Gertie Getaway is probably also best watched but Novis Adventus may have been unlucky at Hexham.
