Friendly Request can gain another course and distance victory at the expense of Red Canyon, with Wilfred and Tinstre others that can get involved. Friendly Request absolutely bolted up at Market Rasen, clearly feeling the benefit of a month off, and indeed a look at her past form reveals that Nigel Hawke's mare has come back stronger than last year. Already successful over the track and trip in the past, she is not too badly treated and in her current mood must take all the beating. Red Canyon was a poor third when tried over fences at Newton Abbot and now switches back to the smaller obstacles. That hopefully will signal an improvement in form by the eight-year-old who is worth looking at for a place at least. Wilfred appears to have a job on to reverse Market Rasen form with Friendly Request, while Tinstre looks a shade high in the weights at present. On that last run alone therefore, Friendly Request is the one to be on.
