In depth

Verdict

Everdon Brook won over a longer trip here last month but is 8lb higher now. Tuskar has claims if able to build on a debut second over fences at Newton Abbot while Le Grand Chene won over the larger obstacles in his native France and has been in decent form over timber lately. But ESCARDO would probably have finished ahead of Spring Wine and Joking Aside at Hereford in June had he not fallen and only gave best on the run-in at Fontwell subsequently. The shorter distance here should be in his favour and he gets the nod.
