    Verdict

The presence of Sarpech at the head of the weights reflects the modest nature of the contest although he wasn't beaten far here last time when another of today's contenders, The Way You Dance, was pulled up. Reservations remain about the pair and a chance is taken that DAVID JOHN will be energised by the move to Tom Lacey. His form tailed off dramatically last term but if he can rediscover the level of his Uttoxeter victory last September then he should give a decent account. Hopefully the market will speak well of his chance on this return to action. Indian Rupee is the other with a shout if back to some form but he too pulled up when last seen here last month and, like most in this contest, is a risky proposition.
