In depth

Verdict

KINGS RYDE was always struggling to go the pace last time at Kempton and should be more at home on this more galloping track. The going will suit and the Henderson runner is well worth another try over this longer trip. Theatrebar, successful 12 months ago, is still capable despite advancing years but Rolling Maul stopped quickly on his reappearance at Cartmel last week. Another course and distance winner, Settimo Milanese, makes greater appeal as he’s still only seven. Mere Anarchy has placed 10 times over hurdles but only won once and will probably find a couple too good again.
