        Verdict

        A trappy claImer gets proceedings underway but the main protagonists look to be Lord Deevert, Rio Taffeta and One Called Alice and the narrow vote is given to Lord Deevert, The selection was slightly disappointing behind Perfect Paula last time out, however prior to that he was a fair third behind Toolittleyourlate. This represents a drop in class and if he runs up to that mark he will be hard to beat. , Rio Taffeta is game and consistent in this grade and is sure to run his race but he looks vulnerable to a less exposed type and is taken on with this in mind. One Called Alice was a fair fourth on her debut behind Gross Prophet in a maiden, she looks sure to improve and with the drop in grade also looking to be in her favour she should be monitored in the market. Of the remainder, Smokryourepipe won a seller last time out when beating Culzean Bay but this looks more competitive and he will need to improve again if he is to win this. Lord Deevert has the form to win this and is nominated as our selection.
