Verdict

SPINNING RIDGE was beaten less than a length at Lingfield a week ago. It's only a matter of time before he's scoring off his current mark and Ron Harris' charge has every chance in this. Cornus is another well handicapped on his best form and has been threatening to get his head back in front while Bitaphon also has a shout on his latest second over track and trip. Calypso Cay may need a further drop in the weights before he's winning and Peak Storm has yet to show any improvement despite tumbling down the handicap.
