      In depth

      Verdict

Melvino can make the most of the weight that he receives from his main rivals, including Silverhay, Inside Story and Symbol Of Peace. Melvino was only beaten a neck over the course-and-distance a fortnight ago, and continues to run well despite racing off his highest career mark. He was fancied last time, and will make a bold bid to get the losses back here. Silverhay has no experience on the all-weather whatsoever, but has won five times on Turf and has had a month off since running over hurdles in December, so is entitled to get involved if adapting to the surface. Inside Story does go well on the Polytrack but has to prove that he really stays today's trip, while the ex-Irish Symbol Of Peace faded in the closing stages when tried over the track-and-trip last time. With no such doubts about Melvino, he has to be the percentage call.
