Verdict

Royal Caper may not have beaten much at Kempton last time but this is no better and John Ryan's gelding is entitled to respect, despite the penalty. Don Eduardo could be interesting in his first handicap as he didn't run badly either side of an outing in a class 2 conditions stakes at Ascot but the one to beat is surely FLYWHEEL. Brian Meehan fits the Teofilo filly with a pair of blinkers after an eye-catching fifth in a Kempton nursery in September. She wouldn't need to find much to break her duck in this grade. Red Eight was only beaten a nose over the trip at Kempton two weeks ago but has been raised 4lb for that effort, though has far more scope than the disappointing Walter White and Gabrial The Duke.
