Golden Button has to put a poor run behind her whilst Expressive looks vulnerable so preference is for the tough CANDY RIDE. She was the beneficiary of a good ride from Ryan Moore when winning at Sandown when last seen in action in July and she returns from a break on a 3lb higher mark. She's a willing partner who isn't easy to pass and she should go close. Moore is claimed to ride Expressive who has made the frame behind fair sorts on all four starts; including Golden Button on her penultimate outing. She hasn't done an awful lot wrong but she doesn't have any great scope for improvement and isn't a star. She was getting 12lbs from Golden Button in that maiden so has her work cut out at these weights although the Heath House filly has to put a poor run at Epsom behind her. Not every horse acts on the Downs so many will be prepared to give Golden Button another chance. Suzi Spends has a fine record on artificial surfaces and Magic Echo is on a fair mark but isn't easy to produce and a bigger threat can be posed by Suba who didn't enjoy any luck in running at Goodwood but stuck gamely to her task. This prize has attracted a good turn out and it is competitive but Candy Ride should be up to the task.
