Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

NOBLE GREEK stands out on the figures and is the one to be with now that the yard has found some form. Barlaman and Pinnacle Lad rate the dangers. John Best hasn't enjoyed the best of years but the stable has turned the corner in recent days and Noble Greek has already shown a decent level of form. He was no match for Listed winner Iver Bridge Lad on debut and was outclassed in a Group 2 on his second start before posting another decent effort at York and he should be able to open his account here. He has 12lbs in hand of Barlaman on official ratings and it's hard to argue with the assessment of Barlaman's form as he held every chance last time. Pinnacle Lad is on the same mark as the bin Suroor runner after his three runs in maidens and will need to improve to trouble the selection as will the less exposed runners. Be Grateful merits a look as the yard's juveniles are rarely wound up on debut and she did show promise but she'll need to be useful to get the better of Noble Greek.
