Verdict

VERY WELL RED has won off much higher marks on turf than on the all-weather. As such, she may be able to defy a penalty for last week's win at Lingfield, especially as Peter Hiatt drops her down a grade here. She's preferred to Kielty's Folly who registered only his second win in 33 starts when scoring at Kempton last time and also carries a penalty. A bigger threat could come from Hi Spec, who had Meydan Style and Aggbag behind when second over C&D on her recent return from a lay-off and will have come on for the run.
