In depth

Verdict

A wide open contest here with very little between the leading fancies, but Beveller, Aguila Loco, Kiss The Rain and Fraternity are shortlisted and the vote is given to Beveller. The selection has been in fair form of late without winning and a reproduction of his latest third behind Ziet D'Alsace would make him the one to beat as that horse has since run well in a much stronger event. Aguila Loco would have a chance on his best form but he looks handicapped to the hilt and we are happy to take him on. Kiss The Rain won well last time out defeating Ladies Knight over the minimum trip, and he shaped as though an extra furlong would suit that day so it would be a surprise if he didn't make the frame here. Fraternity is in great form but he is steadily rising in the weights and for the winner we return to Beveller.
