In depth

Verdict

In a competitive finale, many can be considered. For what it's worth, Larky's Lob is selected ahead of Rock Fever and Lady Pekan. A course and distance winner, the selection is back to below a course and distance winning mark and has shown enough of late to be granted some thought. Times Review's best recent run, over course and distance, gives him claims, while Taboor has been knocking at the door from around today's mark and can't be ruled out of going well. Nova Tor can be considered based on course and distance claiming wins of last March and April, while Lady Pekan has form enough over the last year to be given a shout. Rock Fever holds claims based on his back-to-form Lingfield win last time, Secret Vision holds place claims based on November/December form, Blue Power can't be ruled out on his best bits of form, and Stephanie's Mind can't be ruled out at best, although she's more out than in these days. You get the picture as to how competitive it is? That said, we have to make a choice, which is Larky's Lob.
